Latapack-Ball is a Joint Venture between Latapack S/A and North-American

Ball Corporation, traditional manufacturer of packaging products for more than 100 years, and currently the leader of the North American market of aluminum cans for beverages. Latapack S/A has as its main shareholder the BBM group.

The Company was founded in June 1995 with the purpose to manufacture aluminum packaging products for beverages, and has two manufacturing units: one located in Jacareí-SP and the other in Simões Filho-BA.

The can plant started its production in February 1997, and is set up in an area of 135,000 square meters, with more than 40,000 square meters of constructed area. It has approximately 200 employees and a production capacity of 2.6 billion of 350ml, 473ml and 500ml cans per year.

The end plant, located in the Industrial Complex of Aratu, metropolitan region of Salvador, Bahia, started its production in September 1997. It is located in an area of 62,000 square meters, with 6,000 square meters of constructed area. It has approximately 80 employees and a production capacity of 2.6 billion ends per year.

Latapack-Ball was made possible through an initial investment of US$ 120 million. Both units are among the most efficient and modern in the world, using high precision equipment and with cutting-edge technology.
